About Me
For more than four years now, I’ve been working as a professional photographer telling meaningful stories with my images; finding those unrepeatable instants in a wedding and framing them just right. It’s a search for the decisive moment, a perfect mix between wedding photojournalism and a highly stylized shot.
Before we can actually meet, here are a couple of things you might like to know about me.
I have a profound love for the art of story. I grew up in the Tropics, in beautiful Costa Rica. When the chance came, I went to Vail, Colorado for a winter, and manage to become a Nationally Certified Ski Instructor. I guess that somewhere deep within me, I have an urge to go for the road less traveled.
In college, I pursued a degree in Literature and Linguistics. Perhaps more than a career, I was looking for tools to express, to connect with things I wanted to say, but didn’t have the means to do it. This search evolved into a short novel titled “Cuaderno de Rencores” published by Editorial Costa Rica in 2004.
I moved to Argentina to complete a Masters Degree in Latin-American Literature. Three weeks before my first class, I bumped into “Camera Lucida” by Roland Barthes. A short and beautiful text by a French semiotician seeking to reveal the complex system of meaning that is contained within a photograph.
Everything changed after that. Once I looked through the camera’s viewfinder and heard the first click it became clear to me: this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
After 8 years in Buenos Aires, an email announced that my request for a Green Card had been granted. I relocated my life and my passion for photography to Seattle, WA, in January 2017. And since 2019 I balance my life between Philadelphia and Seattle.
Like I said before, I love stories. These are some of the little pieces that make up mine. Let’s get together, and with authentic, elegant and beautifully captured photographs, let me help you tell yours.
